After opening the season with four straight games on the road, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are returning home for a four-game home stretch beginning this Thursday, July 26th when they take on the Edmonton Eskimos in the 2012 home opener. As of today, over 27,000 tickets have been sold.
The game will feature a halftime tribute to the late legendary Coach and General Manager of the Blue Bombers, Cal Murphy, who passed away earlier this year.
The first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive thundersticks in order to make Canad Inns Stadium as loud as it can be.
With a complete sell-out, it will tie a 59-year Winnipeg Football Club record of eight consecutive regular season sell-outs, dating back to last season.
Tickets are available by visiting www.ticketmaster.ca or by calling 1-855-BOMBERS. There will also be post game fireworks following the contest.
