Getting There

EVERYTHING BLUE BOMBER, BISONS AND CONCERT FANS NEED TO KNOW ABOUT GETTING TO AND FROM INVESTORS GROUP FIELD

The Winnipeg Football Club, in partnership with the City of Winnipeg and the University of Manitoba, has developed this detailed new Event Day website and comprehensive transportation and parking plan for Investors Group Field. For their role in the Event Day Advisory Committee, we thank the many volunteers in neighbouring communities for their input and advice.

It is important to note that this Event Day Plan will be in effect for events that are expected to attract 15,000 or more attendees. It will not be in effect for University of Manitoba Bisons games or other smaller scale events.

No matter how you plan on getting to the new stadium, this website has all the information you’ll need whether you’re travelling by car, bus, on foot or by bike.

Click on the following bars to learn more about the transportation and parking options you’re most interested in. We also ask you to take the time to become familiar with parking and access restrictions in and around Investors Group Field so we can all be good neighbours.

TOP 9 QUESTIONS

WHAT ARE MY PARKING OPTIONS?

On Campus Paid Parking:

Investors Group Field features on campus parking for over 5,000 vehicles with pre-purchased seasonal parking passes. Casual parking may become available but will be limited. Check this website for details prior to each game day.

Pre-paid seasonal parking passes are still available at $210 each and can be purchased by contacting 204-784-7448 or purchase online by clicking here.

Lots will be filled from nearest to furthest from the stadium with WFC attendants on site to direct traffic.  Only pass holders will be allowed to park on campus and no earlier than 90 minutes prior.  This is a strict University policy that must be followed or tickets may be issued.

All seasonal paid pass holders:

  • Will receive a parking information kit;
  • Will be assigned an entrance and exit point by using either Chancellor Matheson Road or University Crescent;
  • Must ensure parking pass is hanging on rear-view mirror.

Off Campus Parking "Boosters":

Many area businesses will offer paid parking in parking lots along Pembina Highway with rates set by each business. The following area businesses are participating in the program (click the address to view a map):

HOW DOES THE “RUNNING BACK SHUTTLE” WORK?

The Running Back Shuttle is a special transit service that will make multiple rounds near Booster parking lots prior to and after games, dropping off and picking up fans right in front of the stadium.

The shuttle will make three northbound stops along Pembina Highway at Markham, Thatcher, and University Crescent starting 90 minutes prior to game time and is free by showing your game day ticket.

Until we all get used to our new Investors Group Field and this Event Day Plan, we ask for your patience as traffic is a normal part of any large event.
