2012 (Wpg): Entering training camp with the number one running back spot in his sights, Chris Garrett suffered a torn Achilles tendon in his foot during practice and was forced to miss the entire season with the injury.

2011 (Wpg): After being released following training camp, Garrett returned to Winnipeg in August and got his shot in the starting offence after Fred Reid suffered a season-ending injury in September.  In his first professional start on Sep 30/11 against the Montreal Alouettes, Garrett carried the ball 11 times for 76 yards and a touchdown.  He would crack the 100-yard mark twice over the next six games and then rumble for 190 yards and one touchdown in the East Final, for which he was named the league’s Offensive Player of the Week.  He finished the season with 576 yards and four touchdowns on 92 carries in only six regular season games. 

2010 (Wpg): Garrett was added to Winnipeg’s roster in time for the Banjo Bowl where he was supposed to spend time returning kickoffs.  However, Winnipeg’s defence played so well that the Saskatchewan Roughriders never kicked the ball off so Garrett didn’t see any playing time.  He would get into game action later in the season as both a kick returner and running back and enjoyed his best outing on Nov 5/10 against Calgary after Fred Reid went down with an injury, finishing that game with 13 carries for 82 yards and one reception for 20 yards.

Ohio Bobcats (NCAA Div.1 FBS): Garrett was a standout returner with the Ohio University Bobcats and finished his collegiate career with 43 punt returns for 450 yards and one touchdown as well as 82 kickoff returns for 2,185 yards and three touchdowns.  Garrett was also a dominant running back and carried the ball 300 times for 1,346 yards and seven touchdowns throughout his four years.

Originally signed as a free agent on September 8, 2010.  He was released following training camp in 2011 and re-signed on August 21, 2011.
